Chicago Sun-Times Media Mix: Lewis Lazare
With a little help from the Beatles and Joe Cocker, Adelstein & Associates/Chicago has
produced a new television and radio campaign for the Illinois organ donor program.
"A Little Help," the new public service television spot breaking this week, features
Kate Pianetto, a donor coordinator for the Gift of Hope, along with organ donor family members
Shawn Harrington and Angelo Tomasello. Harrington lost his mother in a home invasion and
Toimasellos's daughter Celeste died in an automobile accident.
The commercial's musical score is the Beatles song "A Little Help From My Friends" as
interpreted by Joe Cocker.
The new spot is intended to remind potential organ donors they can help other families by offering
a gift of life. "It's amazing to hear from families who lost loved ones talk about how organ
donation helped get them through a tragedy," explained Eric Adelstein, president of Adelstein
and Associates.
